Aged oolongs are perhaps not as well known as aged Puerh teas. It is possible to age an oolong, especially one that has been heavily roasted. Many WuYi Cliff and Iron Bodhisattva teas can be stored indefinitely and enjoyed at a later date. Time seems to mellow out the fragrance and alter the flavor while intensifying the strength or energy (cha-qi) of the tea. It is this cha-qi that engages our own qi (energy/spirit) and allows us to experience an array of pleasant physical sensations. Properly aged oolongs are prized for their strength of qi and ability to impart feelings of bliss, contentment and serenity.
