Silver Needle - Jing Wa
Beautiful to look at and a pleasure to brew. The buds yield an almost nectar-like liquor accompanied by a sweet and earthy aroma. Full and smooth, there's a hint of young bamboo that refines the sweetness. A little melon note goes nicely with the syrupy texture. Along with the minty cucumber finish, we find it's cooling nature refreshing during the warmer months.

Description
Carefully harvested, plump, downy buds from the JingWa area in Fujian.
Details
Jing Wa is one of two regions in Fujian known for it's Silver Needle production.
The popular cultivar developed in the 1880's is know as Big White Tea Tree.
Traditionally, leaf and bud are picked together. The leaf is then removed and used in producing other types of white tea. The buds are partially dried under the sun with occasional turning and then baked completely dry.
