Lishan - Winter Harvest

A beautiful example of a high mountain oolong from the famous Lishan Mountain. The emerald green leaves are tightly rolled and unfurl slowly as it's brewed to reveal thick, resilient leaves. The intense aroma of the heated leaves delivers the sweetness of a summer orchard and fresh cream to the senses. The notes of the fragrance is echoed in the taste of each golden hued cup. Smooth and velvety with a lush floral layer. A slight astringence rounds out the sweet milky flavor of this tea. Dae finds a trace of lightly buttered popcorn in the aroma of later steeps. The flowery fragrance returns in the sweet, cooling finish.

Details

Our 2009 Winter Harvest Li Shan is from Lishan Mt. in Taichung County, Taiwan.
The leaves of this light roasted oolong was harvested at 2200 meters above sea level.
Lishan Mt. is part of a range of mountains that possess the tallest peaks in Taiwan. In addition to it's famous tea gardens, the area is also known for it's beautiful scenery, abundant fruit orchards and is a popular vacation spot with many private hot springs.
