An intriguing tea named for the warming effect more than the actual flavor of ginger. There is a bit of spice wrapped up in the sweet, floral nature we've come to expect in dancongs. We loved the soft, slender shape with the sweet plum aroma but the real treat came after the sip. A haunting sweetness lingered on the tongue while a pleasant warmth started to build in the back of the mouth. We took our time between steeps to enjoy the qi emanating from the throat and chest. A long, long finish went from cooked ginger to sweet vanilla and flowers. Make plenty of time for this tea to enjoy the the subtle warming effect and savor the beautiful finish.
