While our Lower East Side shop has been closed for some time now, we are still in the process of looking for a new space in Manhattan. We're taking our time and patiently seeking that perfect spot for our next venture.
In the meantime, we are still
hosting tea-tastings at a private space in MidTown. An appointment is necessary and interested parties can contact us at 212-265-0832 or send an email to info@theteagallery.com for more information.
A maximum of four people are allowed per session. We can customize a tea tasting to include a selection of our rarer finds at a greater cost. Prices will depend on the specific teas requested.
Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel.
Here's a couple of tips we give our clients to ensure an enjoyable tea tasting session:
-Please refrain from wearing any perfume, cologne or scented lotion on the day of the tasting. Even very slight fragrances can adulterate delicate tea aromas.
-Do not arrive to the tasting on an empty stomach. Tea can lower the blood sugar and a full stomach will prevent feelings of dizziness and hunger cramps. Be sure to eat something prior to your session.
